But i was wondering if putting the felt on the bottom of the shoe actually make the shoes grip properly. I'm just a tad skeptical on that...
And if it starts to rain, is there anything special to worry about?

Me too, I feel like it would get really slippery and dangerous, perhaps you could use a puffy fabric glue/paint to create tread? or even not cover the bottom part that carries weight?
