I understand most of that, Captain. Both your viewpoint and reasoning, as well as his were clear to me before I even decided to comment. What I don't get is, and forgive me again if this sounds rude, is that Lilt did explain that his work was simply satirical, and he only meant it against people believe that popularity makes you better at you chosen art, and he himself did not believe that hard work was not a necessity when it comes to getting better. I have not heard him say a cross word about you, my Captain, else I'd have put him in his place. I could've easily missed a comment to another, so I'll refrain from saying that he didn't outside of my presence. I noticed that he did take the deviation down, and when I asked, he told me he did it out of respect for you, but didn't apologize for stating what he believed, which I can respect. While there is honor in apologizing when you have done wrong, I see no honor in apologizing for what you believe or when you haven't done wrong. I don't agree with how either of you initially handled the situation, but my respect for the both of you remains intact, and I do agree with the new rules you have instated to settle such disputes.

I shall spread your message to the rest of the crew, even though I am certain that ideas of mutiny have already been snuffed out at the reminder of how many would be hurt by it. I thank you for listening to what I have to say on the matter, and bid you a good day, Captain.

The insult to me was in the poem itself and to an extent in the comments.

With regards to the poem, yes, it was satirical, but it condemned the nature of the hard work involved in reaching a popular spot. I am certain that many others including myself felt offended and simply because my name was not specifically mentioned does not excuse the offensive undertone.

Even if you do not agree with someone else's way of putting in effort, I don't believe it is fair to condemn it. Just because one cannot use groups is no reason to suggest it should be taken away from those who can. It would be like saying that because someone can run faster or do more than someone else, we should take away those abilities and make them all the same. 'Tall Poppy Syndrome' as it is.

Therefore the nature of the piece went against the core principles that I thought I had demonstrated previously and will now seek to demonstrate actively. We all work hard in our own way, we may take different roads, but at the end of the day if you tout the belief of diversity and if you believe that all should be allowed their own path...then why make a satirical piece condemning that difference in the first place. His comments spoke about trying to make the system fair, though he said flippantly to other deviants that such things won't happen, the undertone that it should happen is still present.

Furthermore, in comments to other deviants, he mentioned that he believed a friend of his should get published because her writing is good but she was unpopular because she just writes. I wondered, does that mean that I cannot be a published author because I try to advertise as well? To date I've only sold 6 copies of my book, that is with all this effort being put in. Big companies won't take me as my ideas are not in line with what they consider standard material, should I then be relegated to the discount bin in a book store.

These are things I didn't mention, as my rant list would have gone on for a page and also it would be in violation of the new rule 3 and 4 which state that we cannot act in a belligerent manner. However, I am just expressing it to you in order to clear up your doubts. Often what you see at face value might be harmless, but if you look beyond that and see what lies in the shadows, it can be very hurtful indeed. Such a thing I would never allow.

Please understand, when I make a judgement it is not done in haste or in a flash of rage. In future, with the new core values of the pirates now listed, I am hopeful that such problems will not crop up either. I thank you for listening Miss Bloodrose and I understand your feelings on this matter as well. My judgement was harsh, I do see that, but I had a reason for it even if I may not express it well at every possible instant.

Thank you for clarifying, Captain. I do not wish to argue, so I shan't press any further into the matter. My work here is done. I'd like to say however, that us 15 year olds do and say stupid things. It's like an unconscious hobby of ours. :D Though I suppose you figured that out already, eh?

Miss Bloodrose...though I like the sound, just Talia is fine too, Captain. XD

Ohohoho, new pirate charter love. Section four, etiquette :3 Besides on the old vessels everyone was a mr. something. i.e. Mr. Gibbs xD

And yes I have figured that out, but I suppose I can still aim to at least create some sense of order aboard this ship.

Now then Ms. Bloodrose, I wonder how many of you will try out my new prompts :3 Though of course it is entirely optional, I myself will be doing a piece on it soon ^^

Granted.

I believe I will be trying them out myself. They intrigue me.
