In the case of my cousin, they locked him in his motel room the night before to stop him running off.

He tried to get out the window, even thought  it was on the third floor.
Cold feets or some good reason why he wanted to run away from it? If he tries that hard It sounds like he got some real good reasons.

This is why you hire snipers to weddings. The "victim" don't know where they are so they don't know where to flee.
