this is my edited piece. The first one was landscaped but I decided to close it up and focus more on her into a portrait position.

Oh really? I actually liked the landscape one because the context helps add to the backstory.

Haha yeah, you have a point there, but the deadline for the contest didn't give me much time to add more so I ended cropping it.
