its just a little bottle we found in the photographic laboratory and yes these are four seperate photos i put together
the photos were made with an acoustic trigger, a flash at 1/128 power and a camera with an exposure time of 2 seconds

I'm only vaguely familiar with camera terms, so I do have to ask...

I believe exposure is how long the shutters are open to let in light, right? I know with film photography, the darker it is, the longer the film needed to be exposed (and the longer you needed to stay still.)

(That said, two seconds seems kind of long for exposure, because falling items and liquids move very fast! :ohnoes:)

yes thats right
we made the shots in a complete dark room, so the camera can see nothing until the flash releases and so we can "freeze" the moments you can see here
the long exposure is needed to not miss that moment when the flash lights the scene
