Red is a very difficult color to render with.... I know those feels so hard... so very hard. I tend to give my red dragons a sort of yellowy overtone, just because it makes it look much more rich. You did a great job on this! Kudos!
Yeah I figured the color could be part of the problem. I had a hard time making it look lively and natural. Using yellow might work, thanks for the tip!
