"Magi" is, following latin, the plural form of "mage". Therefore, it shouldn't be used about a singular character.

The Black Knights, Crimson Geass (this works especially well, since geas/gyas is old celtic for a hex or witchcraft), Royal Zero, Chess King...
Well don't forget that Marianne named the guild and The Black Knights are a subset within the guild itself
