Thank you, my focus is more on the historical part. I am a little unfamiliar with Aztec myth, I know more Mayan myths. Although, in my country, one of the original inhabitants here called the Pipils are related to the Aztecs. They originally came from Mexico and settled in the western side of El Salvador, my country, so we have many representations of Aztec deities here as well. Tlaloc, Xipe Totec, Quetzalcoat (Quetzalcoatl for the Aztecs), Itzqueye, Metzi (Meztli for the Aztecs), Tonal (Tonatiuh for the Aztecs), Ehekat (Ehecatl for the Aztecs), Tunantal (Tonantnzin for the Aztecs) are all major Gods here. Our myths vary a bit from the Aztec ones, and the language itself is also a bit different (we speak Nawat a close relative of Nahuatl). Even today, in some places these Gods are still talked about in oral stories. My parents told me a few about Tlaloc and his half pig half serpent helpers for instance.

And about Nezahualpilli, you are right, he did execute her. Curiously, another of Ahuizotl's daughters Teotlalco, married Moctezuma II which makes Cosijoeza brother in law to Moctezuma II. As for Coyolicatzin, well you can say she does live happy at a heavy cost. She had three children with Cosijoeza named Donaji (a daughter), Lachi or Cosijopi (their son), and Pinopiaa(another daughter). These are Zapotec names btw. Coyolicatzin's name changed to Pelaxilla which means cotton-flake in Zapotec.

Gracias. Your parents told you the tale of Tlaloc.... It is nice. In Japan, I also was told several Japanese myths in my childhood. Of course, as the story that is pleasant, not as a difficult talk.

You drew two Ahuiztol's daughters, Ixcatzin and Coyolicatzin.
And Coyolicatzin married Cosijoeza, she had the next king Cosijopi.
I saw your Coyolicatzin on your work.

Que bonita! She is very beautiful, and her facial expression is very charming. I am sure, Cosijoeza es feliz!
But I do not know what Ixcatzin did in the history. Who did marry her? When I read your comics, I might know her fate. I am looking forward to it.

I did not know Teotlalco, so I saw Wikipedia.
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Teotlalc…
"Teotlalco's father was King Matlaccohuatl", perhaps there may be various opinions. But like you told, I like the opinion that Teotlalco was an Ahuizotl's daughter. Two great tlatoque were father and son-in-law......There would be many stories.

Yes did you know Tlaloc here is associated with frogs? There are many sculptures of frogs placed in mountains looking up at the sky like this dmaconnect.org/idc/groups/publ…  The reason for frogs is because you hear them before rains come. Here is how Tlaloc was represented here online.sfsu.edu/kbruhns/cihuat… m9.i.pbase.com/o6/93/329493/1/… is interesting, it would be fun to see Japanese myth crossed over with Aztec myths. I think that would make an interesting drawing.

Thank you! Ixcatzin is actually a semi-made up character. I say half made up because historically Moctezuma II did marry a daughter of Ahuizotl. She is the daughter he would marry in the future (I made a mistake when I mentioned Teotlalco she is another princess Moctezuma II married). Ixcatzin is Coyolicatzin's sister. However, historically she was never named, so I had to make up a name for her. Sorry I got mixed up with Teotlalco, I was looking wrong at the family tree. Teotlalco is from Ecatepec.

Thank you for the information!!I did not know about Tlaloc and frog. On dA, I had seen the picture of Chacs who rode on frogs. fav.me/d6pxbt
I rarely draw Japanese myth...  Only this. ...
[My work] www.pixiv.net/member_illust.ph…
[Yamata no Orochi] en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yamata_n…
So I have not drawn pictures of Japanese myths mixing with Aztec myths.
In Japan, I know that there are several artists who draw Aztec gods who mixed with Japanese culture. like this:

Tlaloc www.pixiv.net/member_illust.ph…

Gracias! Moctezuma II historically married a daughter of Ahuizotl too. And, two great tlatoque were father and son-in-law. I did not know it. Now I know it, I am glad!
Oh, I want to read your comics more and more....!

You're welcome.

Your drawing looks neat. And thank you for sharing those works! Very interesting!

Yes, many people are actually waiting for the comic.  I will try to get it out as soon as possible! Right now I'm still working the script and story outline.
