My favorite explanation's that he ate from a batch of infected nuggets and got some kind of mad chicken disease. That would mean that there's probably other "cluckers" out there, and, apparently, they're just calling them all "crazy" and locking them up without actually doing anything to improve food safety. No one would dare admit they have a problem, though, and I'm sure that Freakboy's roommate isn't aware of anyone else who has this problem. He's just angry and confused about the whole situation.
