Why should we be ashamed for liking her? Harley Quinn is a lovable character. yes she has her moments of idiocy but so does EVERYONE. we are humans and therefore prone to error. You certainly aren't perfect. None of us are.
If you say we should be ashamed, then explain why. Dont just say it, that just makes you sound ignorant and silly. If your reasoning is because she loves Joker even though he beats her up? Guess what? That's called the cycle. It's an abusive relationship. people tend to try and ignore all the shitty stuff he does to her to make themselves feeeeel better. The Joker abuses Harley. that's just how it is.
“Because she loves him” gets real old, real quick.

There are a myriad of factors contributing to Harley Quinn’s unshakable devotion to the Joker. The word love is a simple, broad-spectrum explanation, but not necessarily the most accurate one.

Unlike most victims of domestic abuse, because of her background as a psychologist, Harley is actually consciously aware of the Joker’s manipulation of her. During college, Harleen volunteered at a battered women’s shelter and understands the patterns of domestic abuse and the psychology of victims. She knows what he’s doing. She knows what the relationship is. She goes along with it anyway.

Harley Quinn is not so much a victim of the abuse as much as a willing participant.

However, her ability to recognise that she’s being manipulated do not make Harley immune from the long-term psychological effects of being in such a relationship.

Though on the surface she may appear to be operating under the ‘love’ delusion, the fact is that deep down, Harley understands that the Joker doesn’t truly love her and almost certainly never will. She does remain convinced that he feels affection for her. That in his own sick, twisted way, he cares for her as much as he can — and that this is enough.
