Haha yeah i see what you're saying. But, it's also meant to be the modern day (2013) version of The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen. The conceit of that being, the team is made up of characters that are around and or active in that time period.
That's why Captain Scarlet isn't there, because he's not been born yet, Robin Hood isn't there, because he's been dead for a few 100 years. And Steed and Peel aren't there, because they'd be in their 80's/90's and retired.
