Love the before and after look of the "model". Back in the 80's before CGI- Stan Winston was the guy who did A LOT of special effects and make up.
How I would do it would be you have a "body" for the close ups where the model would sit in so you can have some what realism to her- but then use stop motion/blue screen for the far away scenes.
