Hmm... depends on how fussy you are 
I personally find them ok, maybe towards the edge the IQ will drop... but if you are looking at closeup filter, this is definitely one of the best. Fyi, the raynox 250 is a +8 closeup filter, which makes your shooting kind of limited. For my setup, i can only shoot at min distance of 5cm to about maybe 15cm.

Raynox250 landed in my mailbox yesterday.
When you add it to the Canon 100 f2.8 what is the magnification rate?
Something around X1.5?

I always use extension tubes with raynox, which have about X2+ mag, so i think about there for yours.
In fact I placed an order for it on Amazon, earlier this afternoon
