Dang that 1 year leap from 17 to 18 must have been REALLY tough! Long hours. Were you in school at the time or did you just practice by yourself at the time? Were you in any type of school at that time?

Ugh yeah, lots of frustration and ripping out my hair. I still do that now, but man I was particularity angsty between 2011 and 2013.

I havent been formally enrolled into a full time school but I did take a brief class on Saturdays about Observational Drawing near the end of 2012. The teacher was ridiculously amazing at drawing what he saw, so I learned several good tips from him :) Lots of practice and study (i have hundreds of DA tutorials in a folder o.O) is really what helped me overall. As I got better it became easier to understand the concepts he had tried to teach me.

Ah ok. Well that's really cool! Keep it up man!

Sometimes I get anxiety about drawing too but I just try and calm myself by thinking, "it's ok, this is just for fun. No worries"

Yeah, doesn't help most of the time LOL

Haha aww yeah, it can be hard to calm yourself down sometimes. If I get too frustrated sometimes I step away for a minute or work on something else, then come back with fresh eyes later.
