So is this the entire planet or just one continent along with a few surrounding islands? Either way, damn, this is amazingly well detailed and I certainly wish I could pull off maps like this myself.

Just one of the continents; there's at least one other large continent I have planned out (roughly), which is where the Humans originate from. I'm also keeping it open to having more continents as well, in case I want to add on to it in the future.

Either way, the continent is super well detailed and I just love the amazing shape. Its almost like it was formed from a tectonic event (or several) or perhaps some sort of impact(s) with the surface of the planet. The names of the different territories that exist here are just amazing too, they seem, whats the word... Very Eastern European, makes it feel very culture heavy which is always good~ This would look brilliant on a globe with the other continent~

In the process of developing the map, I've tried to focus on both making it look plausibly realistic but also very unique and other-worldly. Thus the almost excessive amount of islands, lakes, and mountains - I wanted an exceptionally varied landscape to work with that would reinforce both the realistic and fantasy sides of my project. I also steered away from western influences as much as I could with this continent in particular, as I didn't want to make another Europe-esque fantasy world.
