Yep.  Two of them are voronoi cells actually, generated from procedural textures inside 3dsmax.  I used the "Advanced Noise" procedural texture plugin, then generated a tile-able texture map from that.

Yeah, I see the other one now. Very interesting. 

By the way, did you sculpt the chairs or use standard modeling methods?

All done with standard modeling tools in Max.  I used the cloth modifier to literally "inflate" the model, as if it were a balloon pumped full of air.  It's an interesting technique I learned in our advanced modeling class last year.  First time using it this way.  Took a few local simulations to get the result I wanted, but worked nicely. Then I just used some of the standard edit poly tools in the Graphite ribbon for the rest.

Wow, you inflated  it! I didn't know that was possible. It definitely gives a convincing result.
