love your linework/brushwork for this one. I dig how it has an overall more stylized look. Makes me think of those old japanese ink drawings and wood cuts.
Were the not-solid-black-lines (such as the background) painted in that tone or was it altered digitally? I noticed just now you categorized this under digital art so for all I know the whole thing is digital (and if so, well, my mind is blown)???
I'm able to isolate the lines and color them individually without touching the background. I also did everything in separate layers. Foreground, middle, background, and characters, all have their own layer. If I wanted to add extra lines, I can draw them in digitally. Overall, the process is very flexible.
