...and I saw your discussion with bib, interesting! Problem is when you have both organic shapes with thin walls and geometric sharp edges in the same fractal...
I hope the developers of the software will think about us in the future version of the prog and add some new options to have a better accuracy and maybe adding some filters for the slices rendering.
I hope Jesse will be able to add color to the voxelslices too.
(It was me who asked him for the voxel export once)
I thing it is impossible to add colors to voxel slices, and colors will be not recognise by Fiji, to export colors with an object the mesh format must be VRML2.
Hmmm, I KNOW someone who made a printable object from colored voxelslices a long time ago, but he must have used some other app to convert themI will try to get in contact and hear how he did it...

I remember the voxels, they were black and white as usual, but the border between the black and white were colored...
So it IS possible!
I look to the picture in the link, yes it is a colored 3D print, i have also uploaded a colored mesh to Shapeways and it must a VRML2 format, to do this i use C4D to add the texture to the mesh and exported the file in VRML2.

I understand Fiji is the wrong tool for this, but the function I am looking for is to get the coloring from Mandelbulb 3D exported on the voxel slices.
And of course (after what you have learnt me now) try to figure out which program to use to convert the slices to VRML2...
(The colors of the print in the link was exported from Daniel Whites (not available for anyone but him
