That's true, my apologies, but I felt like it was a spinoff because it seemed like nothing was the same. Aang was described as a poor father who favored his children, which seemed like the exact opposite thing that he would do.
And it seemed dragged out, the first Avatar had 3 seasons because it was a whole story, while this series was a bunch of different stories about the same people that only needed about one or two seasons if necessary at all.
I apologize too if it seems that I rambled, but my sister and I grew up with the first Avatar, were disappointed by the movie, then heard of the sequel and expected nostalgia, but we didn't really see much of that, it seemed more like a fanfiction, and she even stopped watching it after the first season, and while I watched every season, I felt like it was a spinoff rather than a sequel.
