The fur i made by getting a needle tool and roughing up the surface in tiny small circle motions 
THe same kind of texture can be used for cake crumbs and grass
I see... I will have to try this, the effect looks awesome <3
Also, I was looking at yout gallery and you make just the cutest things! THat MLP carousel! I wanted to say 'cute!', then I looked at your other things and noticed I'd get repetitive if I just went 'cute! cute! cute!' at every one of your creations... xD
