:D Jabba is probably more of an African "Pixy" (Pixicephalus) or the Argentine horned frog. Too many of those frogs are named Jabba by their pet humans!

I'm not surprised to hear that - not a very creative name.

Haven't shopped yet, but read up on them and I think I would like to get one. I've read they need a big terrarium - how big is yours? What is the least I can get by with and still have a happy frog?

Depends on what you would define a frog's 'happiness'.
They seem to be happy enough in a 10 gallon if you have only one frog.
As long as they have plenty of food and clean water, he'll turn into a fat slob in about a year. Mine lives in a colony of 5, 2 males and 3 females.
They get the run of the small, enclosed backyard we have whenever their terrarium is being cleaned. They don't seem to want to go anywhere though.

I went out this weekend and found some walking tree frogs - very cute - black and red colored. Nice - they walked on my hand and appeared content and happy to be with me. The lady that was helping me said White's tree frogs are jumpers - she prefers the walking variety. You know anything about these?

Any frog that doesn't stress out when handled would be great! Do you mean the African Kassina sp? I don't have any experience with them. Are they as hardy and do they eat as well as White's tree frogs? Those would be my concerns.

I did a little bit of looking around using google and the african one didn't look like the one I held. Does P. bifiasciata mean anything to you? - that might be the right frog, but what I read said that their skin has toxins and that they do not like to be held.... Hard to know who to trust - they might be just trying to sell me the frogs. Will do more research - no need to "jump" into this. hehe
