In step 3, how come your brushes looks like pen marks? I select the hard round brush and it's...round. I think that makes a difference in the sketch?

It's because I have a tablet plugged in which adds pressure sensitivity.
If you're using a mouse you won't get that. If you are using a tablet but aren't getting pressure sensitivity, then you might need to install a driver or something for the tablet you have.

Yes, I have a tablet, but the pressure sensitivity isn't working...at least not in Photoshop. But you're right, I probably have to install something that I forgot to. xD Thanks so much!~
