That helps clarify and give me useful information on the designs of the bottom two and the top left.  Do these vehicles solely operate in space because from the way they are designed they would not be very aerodynamic. What use are the bottom most pods on the top right spacefighter?

yes, you are right, they are indeed not very aerodynamic...I kind of designed them to look cool instead of very realistic..you could say they're ment for space only, but that would kinda defeat the purpose of the wings...so I guess the main purpose would be space flight and the wings would be there to enable the abbility to land on a planet without the necessity of supersonic speeds...the pods on the top right, you can see them as engines for thrust..the top ones for the pitch and the bottom for the yaw...that may be extremely unrealistic though..however this was my first attempt at designing a vehicle so it was more of an experiment and didn't concern myself too much with functionality and more with aesthetically pleasing designs :)

Well they may be more style than function but most of them do seem mostly functional in design. Even if the wings are just for landings in atmosphere they add a bit to how functional the vehicles look. Another thought is all those engines help make it a faster interceptor or better dog fighter in space battles.
