Tales of the Abyss is my favorite out of the Tales of series. Granted, I don't have the systems to play the more recent Tales of games. 
Yeah, I have the same problem as well. Last year, I bought myself a Wii & I was lucky to find Tales of Symphonia Dawn of the New World by accident. Since I have a Wii, I might get the original Tales of Symphonia. Might get a PS3 to play Graces, Zestiria, and the 2 Xillia games. The only Tales games I own are Phantasia (GBA), Legendia, Symphonia Dawn of the New World and Abyss (PS2/3DS) along with the Vesperia anime movie. I used to own the 1st Radiant Mythology game along time ago.
I got to play Symphonia only because the honey saved up his money for a Wii. I've been eyeing Symphonia: Dawn of the New World though, it's one I want to pick up. Also considering saving up the cash for a PS3 just to play Graces and Xillia.
