Sinking to their level makes you no better than them. You're not doing anything to help Atheist not be treated like trash. Christians who say hateful things toward Atheist only want to think that Atheists are nothing but rude, mindless people, so you're only fueling them to treat more atheists the way that they do. If having faith is a defect, then couldn't someone who has faith argue the same against you, as in not having faith is also a defect? You know what's funny?
I could stop this and go argue with a Christian right now, just for the laughs, and I would get the same argument from him. Both arguments would prove to be based on hateful ignorance.
