I got your comment.
Oh, so she saw him. Good to hear.
Sorry I can't find the original link to the image. It's weirder looking in CGI.
The fourth generation is nicely written. Best episode I would suggest you watch first is either the first two episodes of the first season or the episode "Over a Barrel". In "Over a Barrel", they have native American buffolos who are angry at cowboy ponies for taking their land to plant apple trees. My father liked the episode due to how they poke fun at the "play a song in almost every episode" disease and the western motif. With "Dragon Quest", my favorite character Spike goes on a existential quest to find his own kind to learn a little about himself but finds more solice with his pony family and a baby phoenix he adopts(which sadly only appears in that episode for some reason, the writers probably forgot). There's more episodes, including one episode with these human-canine creatures called diamond dogs.
One of my other favorite characters on the show is a villainous aztec character who's a cat lover.
mlp.wikia.com/wiki/Ahuizotl He's another fun character(he's appeared in two and I hope he returns). His design is fun, very surreal than the usual standard design.
So far the only real problem is the more extreme fans of the show. Those are the ones we call "rabid bronies". Bronies are basically "bro-ponies". Pegasisters are female bronies, but yeah, the media focuses on bronies due to the extreme bronies trying to make it all about themselves rather than talk about the show. ene
Don't worry about it. The internet constantly make new lexicon all the time.
A really good show I'd recommend that's better is Turbo Fast. Each snail has a different model, it's educational about insects, and the writing is fun. I'm a fanatic for any new episodes.
Any paper is 'doodle paper' to me.
As for your problem, you might want to learn how to re-train your hand's strength. It might be a good exercise for your hand. A big deal to a good artist is to train the weight of your drawing technique. The lighter your hand is, the better you'll be. A lot of novices don't realize that when they push hard into the paper, the weight leaves a mark that's heavy to erase out.
