i actually just see that as friendship, and i will say not to, i made my own version of Symphogear, Kanade also survive and she's got a friend, Like Chris and Tsubasa, even thought Tsubasa friend is kind of... (Wreck minded)

I myself thought it as friendship, but common anime filled with "battle girls" usually gives "flags" for fanservice. You know, for doujin material.
Ah, and I made my own Symphogear fanfic too. Chara designs, armed gear and story are different, just borrowing the concept. You can see some of them in my gallery.

also my fanfic is a Crossover between Pokemon and Symphogear
there is an example of how wreck minded is Tsubasa friend "Dave"
if Dave is watching a Movie with Genjuro and suddenly a butterfly stops on Genjuro nose, Dave will say "Stay quiet Genjuro" and he's will hit him with the nearest thing he's found
also Chris friend is called "Jack" he's does give her tips and normally he's pretty calm and have good manners
Kanade friend is called "Liquid" he's kind of serious but is just he's care pretty much about the people
Jack and Liquid have sister called Yuuki, she's pretty happy, but alike Hibiki she's have some problems with Math
also Ver was dead from the Beginning of my fanfic

Actually I want to post my fanfic in some famous sites, but majorly the sites can't put together pics and words in a file/page, so I posted those stories in a local forum. Even users who read my fanfic told me that it looks like a light novel because of the in-story pics.

don't worry my FC "Shad" killed him, he's just ordered his Zoroark and Greninja to hold Ver. and him stomped on his neck putting Ver down for good, also Fine appears to helps Shad in his mind giving to speak important thing for him
alsi it's kinda of curious both of our fanfic happens in the Past, only that yours is 500 years before and Mine is just in 1993

Jack: Relic called "Fenrir" (use fire Weapons Like Chris only that Jack can slow time to improve accuracy but he's take more damage)

Yuuki: Rellic called "Rakion" (use the feet to fight, the armor is a imperfect copy of gungnir that Shad's made long time ago) i833.photobucket.com/albums/zz… (only difference between the picture and yuuki's armor is the shoulder part and Yuuki's back and abdomen are not covered like Kanade
also Shad's in 2012 should be 37 years old, and his kids (Jack, Yuuki and Liquid) the three will be 17 years old, also Shad's calls them kids, but they are his clones

But if it happens, Symphogear will go to harem route (you know Infinite Stratos right? girls with cool armors & weapons is my thing... but if you add a boy in the story and there it goes...)
That's why I never use male character as a lead role, i dont want Symphogear changes genre to... a kind of story like that.
It always strike me a question if a man could awaken a relic.
