I'm actually quite flattered.

I also take inspiration from the art of others and as a matter of fact, just today I was working up a sketch based on another piece I saw. I had a piece in mind for a while but the pose just wasn't clicking, then I came across something that really fit the mood I was looking for and went with it. There are changes of course but the feeling expressed remains. 

By all means take inspiration from others. Collect reference pictures of any pose that catches your eye, or anatomy shots or clothing, feet , hands , whatever. Use them to improve and strive to do so with each piece you do. You will improve and keep improving if you remain patient whilst doing an individual piece and/or over the long haul.
