This is very close to how I have come to think of these two in my mind.Aredhel is proud, beautiful,strong and a "free thinker"" out of the box for someone in her world both in the stories and in your version. And indeed he is too.But he could have gotten his girl to like him with less peculiar methods to put it mildly 😁!!
