Well, the emotion it evoked in me was quite strong and lasting. And you know what - I don't care how mundane your inspiration was! Not at all! It produced something that touched me so deeply, it hardly matters.

actually, now that i look back on it (funny how a poem's meaning can sometimes change depending on context or what's going on or the length of thinking about it) this was somewhat inspired by my (at the time) not-yet-boyfriend; that i couldn't keep holding back my feelings for much longer. it turns out, i was right!
Oh boy! That definitely changes my view of the poem! I will try to hold on to the first one until I finish this thing because it totally looks out of place now 
I'm so happy "spring" came for you, though the thing is, i think you're right on the money though too... like romantic feelings are like a light you're holding inside of you. 
INdeed they are. The thought of your loved one can brighten up every bad day.
