I'm fascinated with how stage illusions can present what's essentially BDSM (minus a D or an S, unless you're that one gothy British guy) and somehow make it entirely mainstream. It's always amused me to imagine that all performers are closet kinksters who enjoy the hell out of all the bizarre illusions, but have to carefully control their reactions on stage, lest they lose their PG rating.
