Comment on A Story of Friendship by BradyMajor
Even Basil Rathbone's Holmes and Nigel Bruce's Watson. Their friendship is, I find, usually very underrated.
I still need to check out the Rathbone films. I have a few of the films on DVD but haven't gotten into them because of how Watson is portrayed. Hopefully once I get into them Basil's Holmes will keep me invested.
I know that Bruce's Watson is not canon per say, but his relationship with Holmes is one of the dearest, most touching, most charming, most wonderful of all of the portrayals. At least in my opinion.
