Well done! I was really shocked and pleased to see one in the wild in the "Lewistown Narrows" near the Juniata River last week about 5 miles East of Lewistown, PA.

There were a couple known to reside at the Laurel Creek Reservoir a few miles West of the town, and it looks like over the last decade plus their range and numbers have increased to the point they're living there now. Good to see this one and know they're starting to make a comeback in the wild of Central pennsylvania. :)

Wow that's great news I'm glad they are making a comeback. At least they are a protected species now too so the numbers should keep rising :D

Well, "protected" is a step above "endangered", which is a big improvement. It takes a long time for Raptors to recover. I do know Perigrine Falcons have made inroads into some US cities, and they're welcome because they control pigeons. But Bald Eagles don't quite work so well there. My hope is after a few years they'll begin to be seen around Harrisburg, PA downriver, but that's 90km downstream. :)
