The one I am going to is a 10 hour drive away, but I'm going to bus partway down and then catch the last leg of the trip with someone I met on dA. I know for other conventions they do have carpool/travel parts of their forum if you ever decide to do one. (I still have yet to learn how to drive despite being in my mid twenties XD)
I'm glad you're enjoying your craft again. Sometimes you just have to do things at your own pace for it to feel right and it sounds like that's what you're doing.
Last but not least, I absolutely understand the sentiment. My life needs serious redirecting so I don't feel like I'm going insane, but one day!

I definitely want to sell at a con one day, but for now I'll stick with selling online. I'm exactly the same haha! I've had my L's for like two years now, and still haven't driven a car once 
Me too That's definitely true. It's been nice to take my time with it for once, instead of working pretty much non stop with commissions.
