For me it's the opposite. I had a lot of trouble against the Ruin Sentries, since I'm using a dual swordsman build. The Pursuer... well, as long as I dodge his attacks I can cut him down to size fairly easily.

Mm, I see. I have a suicidal tendency with DS II where I don't go in with a shield, and my main weapon is the Greatsword. I love to pancake with its R1 combo. Smash down, swing up, smash down again. It's simple and brutal and I love it. Consequently enemies like The Ruined Sentinel aren't too annoying (save for the boss fight) because I can just bait out their attacks and smack them when they're vulnerable. The Pursuer is a little harder because I can't just roll backwards, or else he'll smack me, so I need to side roll all his attacks, which is risky in and of itself because he's the bloody pursuer, and can easily smack me when I'm near him. So, for me The Pursuer > Sentinel(s).

I can see why you'd have difficulty, especially considering the Pursuer's speed and hitbox dissonance. I know it's basic advice that you probably already know, but I've found summoning someone to keep him distracted (usually) makes the fight a lot easier. It's what I had to do to beat him the first time.

Well yeah I do that on default. I can 1v1 him by myself now though, which is nice.

Indeed it is. Myself, I've been having difficulty getting through Belfry Luna. Over 40 000 souls down the drain twice thanks to grey phantoms and those ****ing dolls.

This sounds like a personal problem. Troll!!!

Are you telling me you haven't gotten frustrated by losing a massive amount of souls just when you were about to reclaim them, or being killed just when you were about to light a bonfire? Dark Souls is the kind of game that likes to take whatever progress you've made and backstab it into a bottomless pit, but that's part of what makes it fun. At least the grey phantoms can't appear if you're offline and the dolls disappear after you kill them 15 times.

No, I was just poking fun because the blue axe swinging dwarves never really gave me much trouble. It was the invaders who gave me some trouble, but only as far as getting to the bell lever. I made sure I leveled up before the attempt so I lost a minimal amount of souls. And trust me, Bellfry Luna/Sol was nothing compared to the place with all those stupid casters and white cloaked warriors with lucern hammers.
