Well with a pelvis not like our own the pubis definitely has to take on the protective role, but it can be shorter to do the same job..........Same for balance, I am not seeing any major muscles connecting to it that I would associate with balance [With that, I dunno how having it longer would increase balance]
I don't know, I guess prehistoric animals are just odd that way, lol.
