Very very tasteful, mate!  You have honed skills with the brush.  I'm an animator so painting isn't among my strengths, but seeing this tonight is really pushing me hard to get back into paint!  Much respect~

Thanks so much!! Just a year ago I planned to study graphic design because I thought I would not do well in fine art and won't be able to find a job. But then after going out there interacting with more artists and just going for it without thinking too much, I realized there is so much more. I randomly walked into an old studio one day and met an artist there. He was a retired art professor who told me (in Chinese) there is a difference between an art "worker" and an "artist" (in Chinese, it has the word "family" "jia"). And that a true artist is someone who creates and starts a family (who are the workers because they recreate). And that is rare. I'm not sure if it makes sense in English but that inspired me to want to follow my passion and push the limits. Follow your passion and you'll never know what great things are waiting to be achieved!

I understand what you mean absolutely!  I also study kanji a lot, so the meanings of characters really paint a picture, so to speak, of what the meaning is.  And may I say that I'm so gald to know that that is the path you chose!  I'm very much the same way.  I had the chance to do a masters in Social Science, and I was this close to pursuing it (it would have been a great choice too).  But I told myself, "I have to be happy with what I do.  No, not just happy, I have to LOVE what I do."  And it's 4 years later and I'm an animator now!  So even though I don't know you, know that you have my deepest respect, mate!
