Interesting one tho did I understand well? I may not download it on my pc nor print etc? Couse if so, then you shouldnt upload on net gallery. There's no law that forbids me from downloading it and doing whatever I want until it's my personal, non commercial use.

i can present it however i like on my websites...if you download it, you steal it. if i send a laywer after you, you would have to pay the licence and stuff i do not know the english expression for. but that is not my problem, the problem is companys that steal pictures and print them.
it is the same with mp3s and movies. people pay money to own my photos it would be unfair if you could download it and print it out on your own while others pay for it...and for me, to have something to eat, i need to earn money with photos. how do you earn money?

I'm still a student and I don't worry about things like money. But if you rly rly rly don't want ppl to download your pictures (which, downloading them I mean, isn't that bad unless they claim it's theirs), then you should make your own web gallery where u disable the right click options on image. d: Couse here, it's deviantart.
and here, i use watermarks...i actually have my own webgallery...right click does not help btw, you still can make screenshots i used to upload without watermark but that was before i found them ripped all over the net. i live from 300 € a month, that is what you get when you study photography here and work from mon-saturday 9 h the day in the studio...i need every euro i can get to pay the rent (it is 340 € for one room, and that is still cheap here) the rest is money from my parents

(in many cases)
i am ok with it when people use it for personal use but this year and last year i have discovered so so many rips and the rippers were so unfair they still upload it and stuff i have lost trust in people now 
Look, there's always "I got original piece" card, when someone claims your work belongs to him/her. It rly works against those lame ppl d: But yea, I do agree, it's a plague and it makes you feel suspicious. Just don't worry too much, those ppl never went far in anything. Still it's you > them. 
mh right, the problem is not to prove that i am the owner, the problem is that i can not even find email adress on most of those pages to get a possibility to get in contact...like on russian and italian pages. and on those, the use my photos as avaters and changed them with ugly fonts on it and stuff and that is something i really hate, because i do not like my sisters face or my cat with a name in red font on some site i do not even know...i once was happy if someone downloaded my photos but that changed and it makes me think seriously about leaving DA and i know many others think the same way
