Oh me too, when my family and I went a few years ago to our vacation in Maine, the house we stayed in had a road that led down to a bay and you could look out and see Goat Island light..when the nights got foggy I could open the screened window and hear the foghorn!! It was heavenly.
I got that passport book at Nubble Light gift shop in Maine, ask at any nearby lighthouses, the gift shops usually have them if they participate in the program..

Oh now that place you went to in Maine sounds like an ideal vacation spot!! :D

It was lovely, very secluded, set between Kennebunkport and Cape Porpoise. When we'd drive back to the house from the village, we'd pass the Bush bungalow.

Oh wow Bush Bungalow!!.... right by the biggies!!!
When we're at Flordia, we're near Donald Trump's summer home and his golfcourse.
It's so huge! Have photos of it but they didn't turn out too good.
I love secluded places ~to me that's the only way to vacation!

My favorite area although not as secluded due to the popularity of the region and its National Park status is Mount Desert Island, Acadia National Park, Maine. That's some amazing country there and miles of trails, unequalled views. Nothing like it.

I've never heard of this place. Maine seems to hold such amazing places to visit.
Over the years we have camped at so many places. I do miss camping out and visiting different areas. My dream is to sell the home and buy a motor home and go traveling.

Never heard of Acadia National park?? Oh my what you are missing. It was the first national park I ever went to and I was sold on it, I also have a passport book for national parks although that was more of a foolish venture since the major parks are out west. I only have one national park in my vicinity and that's Saratoga Battlefield in Stillwater, NY.
I went camping last year with friends for the first time in at least 8 yrs. I used to go a lot with my father but since he passed away, I don't anymore...sometimes it makes me miss him worse...but this was a nice time I had so I'm sure I'll go again this year. I love to travel as well, I've been all over the upper New England states.

Oh you have been around!! New England!! Yeah!
I miss camping so much! I think I raised my daughter at a campsite
I've got to get to the Acadia National Park this summer! My husband and I were just talking about getting the pop-up out and ready for weekend camping again
