the part on doing own's own work is a good point, that makes sense o:  
I will definitely have to look into companies attitudes too, it never even occurred to me to do so- now that I think of it, it seems obvious they would all be different owo/
and I had not known about any pitch length, THAT is something important to look into as well!! 

all of this is still very helpful, and I really appreciate it c: there's a lot I had not considered that could affect a lot of those questions
