That one semester of German really helped me express my feelings today. Thank goodness, I thought that it would turn out to be useless.

Good!
I'm Dutch though, not German. So it's not my main language if that was your aiming for.
But knowing a second language is always better!

Dutch and Deutsch are very different things. It's like Irish and Scottish. Mexican and Spanish. Similar, but two different things entirely.
I just wanted to use something other than english to express myself.
Maybe Latin next time...

I know that, I am Dutch myself. I live in the Netherlands, they speak Dutch here.
'Deutsch' is just the german translation of the word 'german'.

Teehee. I get to speak with a Dutch speaking person.
I live in Alaska. I want to visit Germany or perhaps a Scandinavian country like Denmark. That would be cool.
How much do you like the Netherlands? Also, the Netherlands sounds like a fantasy realm of some sort.

Oh nice!
Isn't it often very cold there? The Netherlands is a rainy country but I like it.
I also like that it is quite a small country so you travel easier.
You can visite sometime!

Depends on where you are in Alaska.
Fairbanks (Interior Alaska) can get as low as 40 degrees to 70 at record lows.
But Southern Alaska, such as Seward, is much warmer. I can go outside in a sweater in the winter, which is nice.
