Oh, you have no idea how much I agree with your opinion on this. In the end, I want Kaylin to be happy and loved and cherished, and if the right person for her is Severn, than so be it. But dang it all! This is a fantasy novel! I want to see the impossible pairings, like Kaylin/Evarrim or Kaylin/Nightshade (both of which, often crossed my mind). I would so love Kaylin/Evarrim! I think he'd be great mentor to her. But anyway. Andellan I really see more in love with Nightshade, and I don't think he would love anyone else, but that's again my crazy brain coming up with strange pairings.
