People watching all of my collections by default??
Um, no thanks.
I may have one or two collections that people are welcome to watch, but the rest of them are only for the specifically interested, and sharing what I put into any of my collections, the moment it happens, with everyone??? Even the ones who aren't necessarily interested in that stuff? NO.
Seriously, there's a reason I stay away from facebook. It has no concept of privacy when it shares pretty much everything I do on the site with all of my acquaintances that don't really need to know, and I've yet to find the settings that turn that off. Either because those settings don't exist, or because I don't use the site all that often, for that very reason. And also other reasons, that aren't as related to dA and involve people from real life.
There are some people who seem to just watch people without unchecking any of the boxes, and.. yeah. No. No. Nope. Nooooo.
Please, do not make all of the collections watched by default when watching someone new. People watch other people for their art, not everyone else's. I'm seriously gonna stop favoriting things if this happens.
Also, quite a lot of people have collections that are far less specific than "Amazing Color Portraits". Believe it or not. Most of my collections are just for organization purposes. They're not specifically themed by art genre, scene or whatever.
Of course, I'd let people watch the collections of mine that they want to, by their own will! That, I don't mind. People who are actually willing to watch some of collections are more than welcome to watch them. So I don't mind that the collections are becoming watchable.
But making it a default to watch all of them when watching a person? Please don't. Please. I'm begging you.
Please don't make those boxes checked by default. I don't want people accidentally watching all of my collections.
I'm pretty sure people would watch the collections themselves if they wanted to.

However, you're missing my point slightly; what am I supposed to do when I just want the collection watching to be optional?
I don't want people to accidentally watch things that they have literally no interest in, yet it's not like I want to completely disable the watching of certain collections completely either.

Oh, I get what you're saying! You want the choice to specify which collections kept by a certain user to watch or unwatch, right? I can understand that completely, and Inhave recommended this before, myself. I watch a lot of people who have a variety of different tastes. I might want to see what they collect in a "photography" collection, but I would certainly unwatch things I have no interest in.

It may look like I'm making a big deal out of this, but hey, I just wanted to make my opinions and feelings on this subject clear. (And then I usually end up rambling in the process, I'm sorry.)
