It's a trend I've noticed, that's all.
That's unfortunately true, however it's mostly in stories about regular women who grow. A real goddess who understands her position will never go too intimate with her worshippers
There is also the logic that as a goddess she is unaccountable to human morality, which is quite Nietzschian when you look at it, and also makes some sort of sense from that perspective.
