Aaaaah, I see. I've never bothered to RP with any of my characters. I will say, that she's very developed as a character, she has a good boio and background about her.
As for my main character, Exciton, he's one of those Psychopaths that's completely sane. Fairly powerful with the force, but excels in Lightsaber Combat. He'll kill anyone at anytime simply to amuse himself, torture the innocent, and destroy peoples lives for the sole reason of doing so, though he does have a side that's more protective. Should he find someone worthy of that status, he latches onto them, and will protect them with his life, showing devotion that's hard to comprehend to the normal being, even if their completely evil, insane, or what have you. He delights in suffering and pain, and is very possessive, taking multiple slaves as his own, to which he has a "soft spot" for some of them, or at least as close to a soft spot as you can get with him. His near obsession with Sith Magic drives him to perfect his sorcery, and test it on unwilling victims...
He would enjoy an interaction with Var, because a fight would inevitably break out, he could do damage that way, or, simply persist in tormenting her, playing on her fears, and driving her insane. (Another of his "hobbies" ) A Sith no real alligence to the empire. He backs it simply because of their policies of murder.

I find personally that I prefer weaker characters. Flaws make for easier characterization than strengths. Even my powerful characters (I play Shaak Ti on that site) tend to be engaged in combat or sparring very rarely. I think less is more in that respect. Normally I don't even do Forcies. My best character ever was actually an utterly incompetent and womanzing stormtrooper.
I agree that its more compelling and interesting when a character has more flaws than strengths, but I havent made enough characters to experiment with that. Exciton is one of my favs simply because of the way he interacts with other characters. Its his own personality that makes others more dynamic. I think I need to RP more. I havent done so in months, maybe years.
Ah. Yeah. I've been RPing since 2009, so I've had a chance to work on my skills. The reason I still RP instead of novelize is because it's more exciting and pacing is easier.
