I think the main thing is the paint job, but the bat-wings are very cool lol. 
theres a big debate in Eternal Crusade forums.... the nightlords are split into 2 groups of people...
one group hates the whole bat wings on helmet thing. and sweas thats its not canon. the other group like myself loves them wings.
