Yes indeed. It helps a lots even when vectoring, it speeds things up. 
what's vectoring i can't remember? how big is your tablet coz i'm thinking of getting one but i dont know how big they usually are...

My tablet is the smallest one that Wacom makes, 4x6. It's good enough for me, as I don't ever need to make big strokes. And it's also the cheapest.
