I don't understand why people are making a big deal out of a remake on a series that's pretty much 100% remake.

I guess it's because they played the 3rd generation games in their childhood. The music, the characters, the pokemon, and the landscapes bring them nostalgia. Unlike them, I didn't play any of the 3rd generation games, so I'm excited to just experience the Hoenn region.
Yeah I got tired of Pokemon when it came out, and I got re-tired again with the Johto remake.
Friends convinced me to get Black 2 because it was supposed to be awesome and a Let's Play during the game sold before U.S. scandal made me want to get Y and they both really disappointed me.
So it'll be a damn long time before I play a main series Pokemon game. I just want a different story... like let me be a villain, or an archaeologist or fight robots or SOMETHING! I'm tired of getting badges and elite four I did it forty times.

I liked Black and White because of their focus on characters and story. X and Y was a disappointment for story for me, but I absolutely enjoyed the new communications with people and gameplay.
Yeah, Pokemon games aren't likely to change too much from the original formula. The formula works for me anyway, but I would actually like them to explore some different themes in their stories like poverty. However, there are tons of other games to play and some alternative pokemon games out in the market.

Yeah it took me forever to beat it and it was not worth my time.
Like after I killed Mufasa... what point was there going on? The story was over! Why did I have to become the league champion?
Black I was so certain that I'd have to use my pokemon to take down the ice laser or something, but no... just random MIB agent brings Zekram or whatever and kill it because why not?

I get what you're saying though. There's new mega revolutions and stuff, but the story is still the same. I guess people like it because it's like replaying a game that you really like, except with better graphics and small tweaks?

All the stories are pretty much the same thing, but with minor alterations.
Kinda like the edits to "Meet the engineer" I mean it's hilarious to see breakdancing heavies in the background, but it's still basically the same thing.
The sad thing is the pokemon game I always wanted was the one I didn't get, XD.
Maybe someday I can buy it...
