1) (non-professionally) I would say a year or less. Ideally nine months if you have that much time to write a novel. Minimum 100,000 words.
2) One since high school, but its been temporarily shelved because I think I lack the skills to portray it correctly. Fanfiction can be great practice for writing...
3) I don't think, as a hobbyist, that I should ask a professional to spend time on an amateur.
4) I can code somewhat, and I can design but I can't even pencil sketch a tree correctly. I'm not really an artist.
