Stunningly beautiful use of light and colour. The vibrant colours used throughout the piece, from the house to the figures to the presents to the trees, are heightened wonderfully by the heavenly blue light. Not only does it set a remarkably calming atmosphere, it gives the image a stunning feel of consistency in terms of its colour palette. The friendly shapes and simple but effective perspective allows the entire scene to be captured with a lot of detail put in, again all highlighted by their wonderful colour and bathed by the light.
